Are you ready to take your dance skills to the next LEVEL?! We are holding auditions for our top award-winning competition teams. This is your chance to join a group of dedicated dancers and showcase your talent on stage!

Competitive Company is for dancers looking to push their training to the next level. They will represent the studio at local competitions and events. 

Dancers will be chosen through an audition process and upon acceptance into the company, dancers make the commitment to put their dance training and fellow company members as top priorities.  

No dancer is required to be a member of the company, therefore, participation is considered a privilege and honor. It is important dancers and parents/guardians understand this commitment and obligation ahead of time. Company members are able to pursue other activities as long as competitions and training stay a priority, it is definitely possible to do both Dance Team and Company!

MINI COMPANY (Ages 5-8) — No Audition Necessary
COMPETITIVE COMPANY
JUNIORS (Ages 9-12) - Intermediate
JUNIOR ELITE (Ages 9-12) Advanced
TEENS (Ages 12-15) — Less Hours for the Busy Teen
TEEN ELITE (Ages 12-15)
SENIORS (Ages 16-18) — Less Hours for the Busy Dancer
SENIOR ELITE (Ages 16-18) — Pre-Professional 6+hrs

Don’t Want to Compete?! But still want to take your training to the next level?! New this Year a TRAINING PROGRAM. Our training program will be in-class training along side our competitive team and invitations to attend conventions with us, without the commitment of a competitive team. INTERESTED?! how is company broken down?

At CORE we have a few different options which include a Competitive Company and Mini Company. The Competitive Company consists of advanced dancers ages 9-18 years old. The Mini Company consists of 5-8 year old dancers in training. For Season 12 we will also have a performance team for ages 5-11, for kids who may want to do a little more than just recreational dance, but don’t want to the commitment of Company.

how many competitions do we attend per season?

We typically attend 3-4 regional competitions, 1-2 conventions, and nationals every other year. This does not include optional competitions and conventions that are offered throughout the year.

do we attend a nationals every year?

NO, we do not attend a nationals every year. However, on non-nationals years, some of the company attends an out of town (drivable) convention

how many hours do our dancers take each week?

Performance Teams take a minimum of 2 classses a week. Company Teams will take a minimum of 3 classes a week. Our most advanced dancers require a minimum of 6 classes a week.

how many company members do we accept?

We don’t ever have a set number, we make our company appointments on attitude, teachability, commitment, technique, and class attendance.

 

Solo Expectations:

  • Dancers will need to participate in group routine(s) in order to be considered for a solo.

  • Dancers will need to take two weekly technique classes. (Not in addition, if already taking for Group)

  • Dancers will be responsible for Solo Choreography Fee.

  • Dancers will be responsible for their own costume.

  • Dancers will be responsible for competition entry fees
